Traditional hand-on training is expensive, requiring travel, lodging, and facility costs. Although our people learn best in an immersive, hands-on environment, not all training lends itself to this format. With a dispersed workforce across multiple locations, providing effective training is logistically challenging and cost prohibitive. We needed a way to deliver impactful learning experiences without the high price tag.
By building PGLs first VLE we were able to provide a space that contained the ultimate source of truth when it came to knowledge sharing, utilising open communities best in class eLearning courses and allowing SMEs to build their own spaces. The VLE platform provided a customisable, interactive learning environment that could be accessed anytime, anywhere. With social learning features, gamification, and micro-learning, it kept employees engaged. The content management system allowed efficient creation and updating of training content.
